Artist Bio

Julie Mae Pigott creates one-of-a-kind mixed media Ancestor sculptures and paintings, each with it’s own personality and “feel.” Each sculpture invites a healing affirmation for the viewer, through the simplicity of its story.

Julie’s creative expression emerged through the exploration of nature-based soul work, women’s circles, leading sacred chant and spirit song circles and the Family Systems Constellation healing modality. Using the constellation modality and her personal adoption experience, Julie taps into the love, support and wisdom of our ancestors.

Inspired by Alaska Native culture and the raw natural beauty in Alaska, Julie creates paintings and sculptures through a combination of acrylic paint, canvas, birch panels, wood, copper, shells, glass beads and found objects.

The April 2017  featured artist at Annie Kaill’s Fine Arts and Craft Gallery in Juneau, Alaska, you can find Julie’s work at the Annie Kaill’s Gallery, as well as her artist studio, by appointment.
